2008 hummer h2 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. The h2 suv provides the power, size, ruggedness and iconic design expected from a hummer. Power comes from a new 393-hp, 6. 2-liter vortec v-8 and is controlled by an also new six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted shift buttons. Standard safety features include head curtain airbags for all three rows, electronic stability control w/roll mitigation, panic brake assist, tire pressure monitoring and onstar. For 2008, the hummer h2 suv receives its first major redesign since its inception, changes include an all-new powertrain and interior as well several new standard safety features and some subtle visual and functional exterior changes.
